CAREER EXPLORATION

JDP completes Career Exploration activities to measure your strengths, capabilities, work skills, and interests in different settings to find a right match for you.

JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES

JDP will provide assistance completing applications, developing a resume, practicing interview skills, and identifying job leads within your field of interests and job goal.

JOB RETENTION SERVICES

Once you have found a job, JDP will help you with keeping your new job including getting any disability awareness or other assistance you need to be independent.

What is Vocational Rehabilitation?

VR is a statewide resource for people with disabilities who are looking for employment. They assist individuals experiencing disabilities in getting and keeping a job. VR works in partnership with JDP and other agencies to develop employment opportunities for people with disabilities. JDP utilizes person centered planning to ensure each job seeker (you?) receive individualized support through the job search process and is the motivating force behind each step.

The mission of Vocational Rehabilitation is to assist Oregonians with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and independence.

who is eligible for vr services?

There is no cost to you to find out if you are eligible.

You may qualify if:

• You receive Social Security Disability or Supplemental Security income and you want to go to work; or

• You have a verifiable physical or mental disability; and

• Your disability prevents you from getting or keeping a job; and

• You need VR services to help you get or keep a job.

VR requires legal documentation of your ability to work in the United States.

JDP is contracted with the Oregon Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
